!!Roderich!!
Name:
Roderich Edelstein.
Country:
Austria.
Gender:
Male.
House cat/street cat:
House cat, obviously.
Appearance:
Roderich has a dark grey-ish well groomed fur, with a hint of purple tint to it. His face, paws, and part of his chest poses a creme colour. An odd strand of hair always stands out, no matter how many times you try to groom it away, it's there. Cutting it won't help either. Just at the corner of his mouth, there's a small spot of black fur, no one is entirely sure how to call it.
Personality:
Well mannered, intelligent and with good taste for most anything. These are three traits in which Roderich takes a lot of pride. Being a cat who lives with a more than wealthy family does wonders for your personality. So he has become a little stuck up, big deal. He does love the people who're around him and who take care of him. Being very much a family pet in this aspect.
He is, and used to be, somewhat timid, one might say he is shying away from contact with others. Not a bad observation on their part, but it has little to do with being shy. Oh no, it isn't being shy at all actually. You see, Roderich has a low tolerance for crowds, and for stupid behavior, the patience to put up with anyone who doesn't know how to handle cats, simply isn't present. With kids it's a little different, in most situations he manages to stay calm, with a surprising amount of patience. He has learned it's best to at least try and ignore that behavior, seems kids aren't as smart on such subjects.
When it comes to any type of gathering amongst cats, Roderich would prefer to watch from afar, aid the one in charge, whether they like it or not, and then just observe some more. When someone verbally attacks him however, he is more than capable to stand his ground, and chew his opponent out. On a physical level, he's not much of a challenge himself. Roderich is always well-groomed, he has pride in this. But it also means his claws aren't fit for fighting, and really, biting is simply gross.
When he has a problem with you, he is not afraid to let you know, usually this is right when you get under his skin, yet he fails to realize that it then can turn into encouragement for the other to keep up the annoying behavior.
What he lacks in strength, Roderich makes up for with intelligence and wits.
Roderich, being the family pet he is, isn't used to the outside world. He has had little contact with humans, and even less with other animals. The furthest he has even went on his own was to the back of the garden of their home. Needles to say he wouldn't stand his ground well when faced with the outside world.

History:
Roderich was one of those cats who was bought directly out of a litter, no stray picked up from the street, not adopted from a shelter either. So he grew up on the rich side of town, being pampered by a wealthy family since he was a kitten. In turn, Roderich has become accustomed to these luxuries, and he doesn't know better than this. Whatever he might want, he gets, and only the best for him of course. It's a wonderful life, and all he truly has to do, is be nice with the kids and be pleasant around company. Ruining furniture is something that wouldn't cross his mind, and everything is his in return.
Being a house cat, he finds it difficult to actually get out. He has always adored lazing around in the backyard and on the roof of the shed or the house, but he has never gone past the hedge or the front yard.
Actually, he has once, and he didn't like it. It wasn't something he was forced into, such as a trip to the vet or something like that. Having seen other cats pass trough the neighborhood, he had gotten a little curious, and that's when he finally found himself on the streets. Not being used to such a place resulted in the obvious problems, a few things he won't forget fast, and which he will never speak of for as long as he lives.
Roleplay sample:
Distant sounds hovered around, giving one the idea there was life gathered around themselves. Yet these sounds, they were illusions, echoing trough the Austrian's head to replace the silence that occupied the small apartment the man was dumped in. To him it still sounded like people walked around, he could have sworn that he even felt the footsteps vibrate trough the floor, causing the throbbing of his head. Little did he know he was passed out on a floor, but that aside. There was still life, there were still people and he was not alone. These sounds were rather enjoyable, they, on their turn, had also drowned out the nervous and unsettling feeling that had lingered within Roderich upon arrival. It calmed him down, even in his 'sleep', which would always result in a rational mind later when he would wake, on that was not clouded by fear or paranoia about a seemingly dead-like town.
But then, in the middle of their busiest moment, the sounds began to decrease, to be replaced by a bizarre sort of ringing in Roderich's ear. Not to mention the endless throbbing. What in heavens name was going on right now? The eerie feeling was starting to get to Roderich once more, tensing the unconscious body in its struggle to awake. A soft groan escaped from his throat while he lay there on the cold, dirty kitchen floor of a unknown apartment in the middle of what was basically nowhere to him. Thankfully the endless ringing in his ear was getting less by the minute, while the throbbing of his head only became worse and a lot more painful. He would remain 'asleep' while the pain grew stronger, making it feel as if his mind slowly was about to explode.
It came as no surprise that as soon as the pain grew, the man was beginning to wake up, detesting this everlasting throbbing. The expression on his face was noticeably changing, at first he had looked calm but gradually he looked a lot more troubled as time went on. Roderich was obviously in pain when he finally collected enough strength to force his eyes open. Everything around him was such a big blur, it certainly didn't help he was left pretty dazed as well. Where was he? More importantly, why was he at an unknown place?
His hand reached for his face, gently adjusting his glasses, he was lucky to still have them. Roderich felt relieved, despite his confusion, when the throbbing lessened. Now that he had woken up his mind seemed to be willing to cooperate and give him a break from this slight torture. Perhaps he had hit his head, of course Roderich noticed he was on a floor, so it was but a mere possibility. On the other hand, he could also believe it was his own doing, as some sort of last resort to get himself back upon his feet. It wasn't much use to give that issue any more thought than he had already done, for his concern now was to figure out where he was.
The Austrian carefully began to push himself up in a sitting position, his face immediately displaying his disgust when he got a good look of the surroundings. So he seemed to have found himself on a dirty kitchen floor of an equally dirty kitchen in the back of what seemed to be a mere commoners apartment. How odd, wasn't he on his way to the conference? The last thing Roderich truly recalled was checking the address one last time, only to learn he was going the right way before he ended up waking in this place. Roderich proceeded to push himself up, getting back on his feet, brushing off his dirtied coat. Honestly, if this was Gilbert's doing...
Yes, that was the first thing he thought of, that this would all have been one of Gilbert's idiotic jokes to annoy the Austrian more than he usually did. Well, he had succeeded! Sadly, figuring that out did not solve the brunette's problem, not at all. He was still lost, if not stuck, in a stranger's apartment.
The Austrian began to make his way trough the small kitchen with caution, being in such a quiet, seemingly abandoned apartment could have anyone on edge like this. "Hello? Is anyone there?" he called out, sounding just as careful as he moved. Surely someone had to be around, right?
